I just ordered a Cricut Expression (12”x12”) craft cutter and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! For those of you who couldn’t care less about crafting and have no idea what a Cricut is, this little beauty cuts shapes, designs and fonts in paper, vinyl and fabric (although that’s a lot trickier). It’s been been around for years, but I finally decided I can’t live another day without one. ;)
For those of you who have one, what do you use yours for? Having a little one at home, I can think of tons of projects I will use this for and had plenty of times over the past couple of years that I wished I had one. Also, printing on vinyl opens up tons of possibilities for projects and gifts.
I just downloaded the demo version of the Make the Cut software over the weekend and it’s a lot of fun to play with. Since I don’t want to be tied to only using the Cricut cartridges, I’m planning on using this a lot to print fonts I already have on my computer and convert images to cut with the Cricut. Does anyone use this software already? If so, how do you like it?
Ooo, can't wait to see how you like it and what you do with it!!
ReplyDeleteI am COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY JEALOUS!!!! I cannot wait to see all the cool stuff you can do with it!!! Stephe
ReplyDeleteI too am jealous and would love one can't wait for your first project!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I understood about a quarter of that post. You must be extremely craft/tech savvy, or at least more so than me ;)
ReplyDeleteHi. I just recently found your blog but I love it! Your daughter is beautiful! You are going to love your cricut! I have had mine for over a year and I use it all the time. We have only been home with our daughter for 5 months and she just turned 2 so I haven't let her use it yet, but I will teach her soon. My nieces are 5 and 3 and they learned to use it as soon as I got it. There are quite a few cartridges with cute things for kids and using MTC will also be fun. I use mine for a lot of every day things too. If you ever have any questions feel free to email me - I'd be happy to help or point you to some great sites I have found!

I'm excited to see how you use your cricut! Fun!!
ReplyDeleteI'm embarassed to say that I bought one over 2 years ago and have never taken it out of the box. I'm sure there is so much I could use it for but time just seems to get away from me.
Enjoy!!
I got my cricut for Christmas and have done a few things with it, still learning. It was very intimidating to me at first and truthfully it still is.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I am interesting in seeing what you do with your cricut.
