Visit from Grandpa...

The photos in these layouts are from March when my Dad and his wife visited from New York. Grandpa was so impressed with his new grand-daughter. We had such a great visit with them!

I love the huge smile on Lauren's face in the photo below. It's funny how kids just know how to enjoy the simple things in life. I've always been one to notice and enjoy the details of life, but Lauren has made me slow down even more and enjoy the little things...

Tending to my flowers...

I've been wanting to back track a little and scrap some photos from earlier this year.

When I saw the Bright Lights of Summer collaborative freebie kit from A Work in Progress and Charlie's Digiscraps, I thought it would be cute for these photos of Lauren watering the flowers...

It's an adorable set...you'll have to head on over and download it for yourself!

Father's Day layout...

I used Katie and Alice's Starry Night set once again for a Father's Day layout. I love this set because it's so versatile. They recently featured my last layout on their blog...check it out here. Thank you, ladies!

We only got a few good pics today because Little Miss was a bit of a cranky pants for most of the day today. She's been having a hard time this weekend for some reason. I'm off work tomorrow too and we're hoping for a much better day.

LeeAnne at Scrappy Bug posted an adorable set a few days ago and I just had to try it out. We had a visit last month from a family in our China travel group, so I decided to scrap a couple of those photos using her new set...Chic Chick.

Pics from the weekend...

Here's a couple of layouts with pics from the weekend. Lauren always loves to see Grandma. She can't quite get the whole word out yet, so she calls her "Ma". It's pretty darn cute.

Little Miss had tons of fun on Sunday swimming at a friends pool, especially since Nancy and Lily joined us this time. I call these two partners in crime because they are double trouble! ;)

Late Mother's Day page...

I finally got around to scrapping a couple of pics from Mother's Day. I figured with Father's Day quickly coming up, I'd better get this done.

These pics were snapped right before we left for lunch at Macaroni Grill, which is why Little Miss still has the bow in her hair! We had a great lunch and an awesome day.

A very starry night...

Lee-Anne at Scrappy Bug clued me in on this adorable freebie set over at Always Be Neighbors Designs. The blue paper with the stars, along with the hanging moon and stars element, would make an adorable sleeping baby page, but I realized I have no sleeping baby pics. I guess I'd better get busy with that!

So, for now, I remembered I had these adorable shots of Little Miss laughing and the colors and butterflies in this kit go great with her outfit...

Can't wait to get my sleeping beauty pic so I can create another page!

Tiki page...

I've been wanting to scrap these pics of Lauren and her friend Lily having smoothies at Maui Wowi. They serve kiddie sized fruit smoothies with a little paper umbrella...very cute. Lauren's favorite flavor is orange mango. Now that I'm back to work, I miss doing things like this during the day.

What do you do...

the morning you meet your daughter for the first time? Go to Starbucks, of course. Ha!

Here's a page with photos from January. I used Scrappy Bug's new freebie digital kit...White with One.

Cuteness and a digital freebie...

I think Little Miss looks just as cute in this $4.99 Target dress as she does in a dress triple the price off the Nartjie or Baby Gap sale rack. Don't you agree? I love Target!

Hey, Lee-Anne over at ScrappyBug just created her second digital kit and it's really cute. Head on over and download this adorable freebie. Oh, did I mention it's coffee themed...LOVE that. I have a pic or two of my China travel mate, Karen, and me at Starbucks the morning we met our girls. I think this set would be perfect to scrap those pics!

Well, this is it...

my new home. I started my adoption blog in September 2005 and have been blogging regularly since then. Now that our adoption is complete and Lauren is settling in at home, my focus has changed from writing about the adoption to documenting her life. This has led me to get more into digital scrapbooking, which I really enjoy.

I'll use this blog to post the pages I create, post links to fun digital kits I find, and do a little journaling about life with Little Miss. She has brought such a wonderful light to our lives and is such a joy! The pages I create for her throughout the year will be bound into a book at the end of each year or two. I'm hoping that Lauren will cherish these books when she is older.

I love the pics in my blog header, which I snapped just the other day. I found the perfect digital kit for them, as I love the bohemian feel of the flowers and birds (which go with the cute little top she was wearing). It's called Having Hope by Thao Cosgrove. You can find it here. The frames are from Gilded Frames by Melissa Renfro. Click to enlarge scrap page.)

I hope those of you who have been following my adoption blog, will continue to follow us here at my new home! You'll find the "followers" link in my sidebar.
