This and That...

I took this pic this morning and when I pulled it up on the computer I thought...oh my God, look how big my baby is getting! Doesn't she look older in this pic? When she wears jeans, she thinks it's really cool to put her hands in the front pockets. She'll walk around the house like this after she gets dressed.

Today she actually wore the bracelet that Michelle made for her and didn't take it off all morning, even through a trip to the store.

I made my first recipe from the Pioneer Women's cookbook this past week...Chicken Spaghetti. The only thing I did differently was I cooked the chicken in the crockpot overnight instead of boiling it on the stove. A friend of mine said she cooks chicken this way all the time and that it gets very tender. She was right, it was falling off the bone as I was taking it out. The messiest part of the recipe is shredding the chicken. It was super easy, but it's not my favorite thing to do...

Here's the completed recipe ready for the oven...

and here it is with the cheese nicely browned and ready to pop into my insulted bag to head out for our Wednesday evening girl's night/play date.

It was a hit with everyone and Lauren loved it. Can't go wrong with chicken, cheese and pasta for the kiddos. This recipe will be a regular in our house for now on. Also, the leftovers taste just as good, if not a little better, than the first day.

She DOES look big in that picture! *sniff* I'm so glad she can wear her bracelet now! I knew it would only take a little time.

I won a copy of that cookbook on another blog and it came yesterday. That is the first recipe I thought I would make from it. Looks so yummy!

Glad to see you back in blog land, I had wondered about you guys. Didn't realize you are a PW follower too, she cracks me up! Her sister-in-law and I are from the same small home town in Oklahoma. Small world!

oh, and on your other post - i had to laugh about lowering your standard on the whole home front to spend time w/ your precious baby girl. you can only imagine how south my home has gotten w/ 3 of 'em!

Lauren is so cute with her hands in her pockets. I had noticed how grown-up she looks when you posted the Starbucks page below.

Yum, your casserole looks delish! I use supermarket rotisserie chicken for shredded chicken.

Oh she does look like such a big girl! My girls both look older in jeans for some reason. ???? Maybe it's that you notice they have real actual legs when you see them in jeans! LOL!
